Agricola Ombra is essentially an ancient stone house lovingly restored, with olive and hemp fields, and endless woods to immerse yourself in.
Francesco and Caterina found the forgotten farm Podere La Casina in 2016 and they moved here from the city. Together they are creating what they call "a world" on a hidden hill in Tuscany, not escaping city-life but integrating the best of the two worlds.
"When we moved here the house had been abandoned for years. The first year we lived in a caravan while working on the project. We had to come up with a lot of solutions, for example to clear out what is now the kitchen (it used to be a stable) we had to move a tractor... we learned how to drive it with YouTube!"
Agricola Ombra today produces CBD hemp and oil, extra virgin olive oil, saffron, and welcomes travellers from all over the world in its safari tents. It hosts yoga retreats, courses, presentations, meetings and celebrations, all immersed in untamed and wild nature.
